Legacy Giving Group

The Legacy Giving Group is formed by my twin passions: seeing the long-term sustainability of institutions that serve our communities thrive through strategic legacy giving programs.  The second passion is witnessing philanthropic benefactors' joy when they establish purposeful legacy gifts that support their favored causes.

Liz Gallegos Glynn, the Principal Consultant for the Legacy Giving Group, has over 30 years of executive experience in legacy giving. Through her work as an Executive Director of a large community-based organization and for a top-ranked university, Liz has had a range of successful experiences. 

• Over $136M raised for institutions

• Led and directed effort for legacy gifts to contribute 25% of a comprehensive $1B campaign; successfully achieved this goal of $250 million of new documented legacy and life-income gifts

• Grew bequest expectancy pipeline 180%

• Bequest Society program implementation and 30% growth of an established program

• Experience includes Santa Clara University, YMCA of Silicon Valley, Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit High School, Rainier Scholars, St. Martin's University, Center for Environmental Health, volunteer with Rotary District 5170 and Catholic Diocese of San Jose.

Liz is a former 23-year Certified Fundraising Professional, CFRE, the only globally recognized and accredited fundraising certification; the CFRE stands for confidence, ethics, and professionalism in fundraising. She is a graduate of San Francisco State University.
